Fractional was established to fill a growing need: help seasoned business leaders successfully transition to building their own fractional business.
Our Founder & Managing Partner Chris Clymer has spent over 15 years across three businesses helping leaders make this transition. During that time the conversation has changed from “what’s a fractional leader?” to “we’re looking for a fractional leader for X”.
Chris knows firsthand how challenging this transition can be. He had already had a successful career in cybersecurity at Fortune 500 companies and top 10 banks when deciding to become a Fractional CISO. He quickly learned that while his domain knowledge was essential, many other skills were needed to be successful in a fractional role. He’s had the benefit of working under leadership from Big4 consulting practices and sales leaders with decades of experience. As he brought more fractional leaders onboard over the years, he found it was critical to invest time educating on sales tactics, deal structure, personal brand, contract language, and many other skills which rarely come up in-house but become essential for a Fractional.
Chris is excited to pass this knowledge on to a new generation of fractional leaders across new verticals, and be a small part of helping this entire market segment prove its here to stay.
